You are not your past. It has no claim on you, if you don’t let it. Letting go is the first step to moving forward. We find many people who feel like their past won’t release them, and that who they are is the sum of what they’ve been. We can’t afford to live this way, letting our past hold us back.
To move forward, take a hard look at your past. What are the things you like about yourself that you want to keep? What things would you like to change? What held you back? What would you do differently?
What do you care about? Who do you care about? How do you see yourself? How do you see yourself in relation to those you love? Write your answers to these questions down without worrying about spelling, grammar, etc. What’s important is to capture those things that most motivate you.
The next moment can be the moment you change. Let us help you get started becoming your vision. We help you explore these questions with our articles, podcast episodes, blog posts, and courses.
You may come to your life vision quickly, and many people do. Others take more time, truly exploring who they want to be and who they will be to others. A purposeful, dedicated approach to discovering your goals will provide an increasingly clear vision of where you want to go.
You can’t skip this step. Nothing difficult is achieved without heart. The strength of your heart and commitment will depend on the strength and power of your life vision. Have a clear, strong vision.
We recommend you keep writing. Put your exploration work in a folder and title each file with the date and “LVP” for “Life Vision Portfolio”. You can refer back to these words in a few months to see how far you’ve come. Consider joining our free performing & learning community where you’ll find others who want the same thing — a new direction and destination.
